Meta & The Cornerstones
Led by the Senagalese singer, Meta Dia, the six-piece band Meta and the Cornerstones fuses reggae, afropop, hip-hop, and soul music with vocals in English, French, Wolof and Fulani. The diverse group has gained momentum over the years by just being true to themselves, and making solid connections with artists from all over the world, evidenced recently by the show they played last summer alongside two of Brazil’s hottest hip-hop acts, Emicida and Rael da Rima. You can catch Meta and the Cornerstones at an official showcase Wednesday at 8pm at the venue Flamingo Cantina.
