Following a massive 2013 that saw him shell dung NYC twice on his debut U.S. tour, Chronixx returns to NY for his first 2014 dates this Saturday (1/25) and Sunday (1/26). No ordinary gig, the toast of Jamaica’s reggae revival will perform twice nightly (at 8 and 10:30pm) alongside JA music icons Ernest Ranglin and Monty Alexander at legendary NYC jazz venue, the Blue Note , in a presentation they’ve dubbed “A History of Reggae and the Music of Jamaica.”

Tickets are going fast—Saturday’s early show is already sold out, and the rest are going fast (Cop tix for Saturday’s late show here: and the Sunday shows here)

As the official media sponsor for the shows, we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to one winner to the early show (8p.m.) on Sunday 1/26. To enter, log onto Instagram and repost the flyer above with a caption including each following:

—Hashtag #ChronixxattheBlueNote
—@largeupdotcom
—The username of a friend you’d like to bring to the show.

Get creative. The person who grabs our attention the most will win the pair of tickets for them and their friend. Good luck!

To get you inspired, we dug up a choice clip of each of the three figures coming together this weekend: Ernest Ranglin performing “Wanted Man” with Jimmy Cliff, . from the 1977 film Roots Rock Reggae; Monty Alexander on the Bravo channel in 1985; and Chronixx’s latest video, for “Here Comes Trouble.”
