Jamaica may be more rich in music makers than any other place in the world but there are few Jamaican musicians more accomplished than Ernest Ranglin and Monty Alexander. JA’s greatest guitarist and its most acclaimed jazzman, Ranglin and Alexander have collaborated for years, straddling the worlds of reggae and jazz in a way that only they can. For their latest stroke of genius, the two legends are partnering with the hottest artist in Jamaican reggae right now—Chronixx to present the History of Reggae and the Music of Jamaica.

Our 2013 Artist to Watch will join Ernie, Monty and special guests onstage at one of the most renowned jazz venues in the world—the Blue Note in NYC—for two nights of performances running through Jamaica’s musical songbook from ska and rocksteady to the present day. LargeUp is partnering with Promotions by Tree to present this unique, and sure-to-be-gamechanging series. Get your tickets for the 25th and 26th here and here, respectively, and stay tuned to LargeUp.com for more details.
