Who says LargeUp is just a Jamaican reggae ting? We’ve always made it a point to feature culture from across the Caribbean, the diaspora and behind. And our next episode of our RadioLily show The LargeUp Sessions is sure to be a great reflection of this diversity.

Joining us on this Thursday’s Halloween edition of the show are songwriter Angela Hunte (Jay-Z, Snoop Lion, Gyptian), St. Thomas, USVI rapper Paebak, and German reggae singer Uwe Banton. And of course we’ll be running down some of our spooky reggae selections from our Toppa Top 10 on the topic.

Ms. Hunte, whose songwriting credits include Britney Spears and Diddy, is perhaps best known for penning Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind.” She was also one of the principal songwriters on Snoop Lion’s Reincarnated project, lending vocals to several tracks including the single “Here Comes the King.” More recently she contributed heavily to Gyptian’s Love Sex and Reggae album, which dropped this week, appearing on the lead single “Vixen”.

Paebak comes to us from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, where he’s quickly become the voice of the island chain’s growing hip-hop scene. He first caught our attention earlier this year with his colorful video for the addictive “VI OGs,” and his latest mixtape, History, only made us bigger fans. And Uwe Banton comes to us from Germany, where he’s been a leader in the country’s reggae scene for several decades.

Watch some videos from each artist below, and tune in tomorrow night at 6 to 8 pm on RadioLily.com.
