Words by DJ Theory—

As we cruise into June, Mixtape Mondays is there as always to keep your week and your iWhatever turned up for summer. From Jamaica to NYC to Montreal, the music and vibes are worldwide. Grab a slice below.

Poirier, Sud-West Mix (via Mixpak): Dancefloor killa Poirier returns with another boomshot to welcome the return of his Sud-West party in Montreal with partner Ghostbeard. A potent blend of digital dancehall and roots lead off the mix, before moving into some modern dancehall and tunes from our own Natalie Storm, Konshens, Cham, Busy, Burro, Dreadsquad, frequent collaborator Face-T and a few other Montreal folks. Sprinkled in are some original Poirier productions. Smoothly mixed, this one sets a nice tone for summer and should get you fired up for Sud-West, if you stay in the MTL area. Stream and download below:

DJ Triple Exe, Pure Winery 27 (hosted by Konshens): Staying in Montreal territory for a minute, we’ve got another slice from the steady-delivering DJ Triple Exe. Exe also deals in soca, hip hop, R&B and throwback mixes, but this one is volume 27 of his straight-to-the point dancehall mix series, hosted by Mr. “Gal A Bubble” Konshens. With over 50 tracks of current JA dancehall business, this should be just what you need to get you moving and wining right into the weekend. Stream below, get the tracklist and download here.

DJ Kitt x Munga Honorable, Slap Weh Mixtape: Some brand new material just dropped from JA direct from the hilltop general Munga Honorable. For the Slap Weh Mixtapw, Munga teamed up with Kingston sound killa DJ Kitt from 007 Sound, son of Bass Oddysey‘s Father Bunny and no stranger to reggae and dancehall music.  As part of this tape Munga previews some new material on the way from G.M.C, the new trio with breddas Chi Ching Ching and Gyptian (hear them bussin “Slap Weh” dung a yard alongside the 007 family here). This one shows Munga’s diversity as an artists, with dancehall, culture and hip hop all making their way into the mix. Tun up. Download tracked version here, or as one track here.

DJ Rory T, Bes’ A Dem: Wrapping up this week we got some big dancehall tunes courtesy of NYC’s Rory T, who makes his MM debut with Bes’ A Dem (B.A.D). Pretty straight forward here, just a badd summertime dancehall mix with all your favorites like Demarco, Popcaan, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Cham, Kartel, Konshens, Aidonia and many more. If you’re looking to have a bashment party, this should do the trick. Download here.
