When the New York Giants and New England Patriots meet on Sunday for a rematch of one of the greatest Super Bowls in memory, the game will also be a showcase for the NFL’s top Caribbean players. As it turns out, the two teams collectively feature four key contributors with Caribbean roots. For the Giants, it’s Haitian-American defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul and salsa-dancing, Puerto Rico-repping hero wide receiver Victor Cruz. The Patriots’ lineup, meanwhile, features the son of the Jamaican singer and producer team behind the 1985 reggae hit “Girlie Girlie” in Patrick Chung, and a touchdown-catching, half Puerto Rican hero of their own in Aaron Hernandez.
