Hope Road: Lauryn Hill x Bob Marley Live on Jimmy Fallon

Words by Eddie STATS Houghton

LHILL600

Continuing the Marley madness thats attended Bob’s death-anniversary this week, neo-soul legend and Marley-by-marriage Lauryn Hill made her tribute in the form of a two-song live performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night. She went with an obvious crowd-pleaser (“Could You Be Loved”) and a more obscure ballad (“Chances Are”) with a doo-wop heart–ideally suited to Lauryn’s take-em-to-church live approach. Of course the Fallon audience was already AT church from the Jennifer Hudson rendition of “No Woman No Cry.”
