The Heatwave, Energy Bashment (via The Heatwave): Another sure-shot from our UK correspondent Gabriel Heatwave, Energy Bashment offers exactly what the title suggests is served up with a very simple ultimatum: sitting still is not an option. Described by Gabriel as “a fresh blast of adrenaline from The Heatwave: 60 minutes of dancehall electricity, exclusive remixes and blends, brand new hits and straight up classics, all specifically arranged to induce maximum hyperactivity!” Put me in coach, I’m ready to play. Tracklist and download here.

Safari Sound, The Safari Dancehall Show ‘A Rootical Ting’ : The last mix we posted from our Swedish compadres Safari Sound was more on the soca tip. Now, they’ve turned up the culture with A Rootical Ting. Tings start off with an acoustic medley by the likes of Richie Spice and Fantan Mojah,  before moving into Bugle’s wicked new tune “Tired” and Don Corleon’s striking Message riddim. A perfect listen for an early morning rise, a sunny-day car ride, or at any point when you need a little roots and culture in your life. Tracklist and download here.

Ziggi Recado, Album sampler – Mixed by K-Salaam & Beatnick : Holland’s Ziggi Recado (or simply Ziggi) has been making some unmistakable noise in Europe, and successfully crossing over internationally in the past few years with singles like “Need to Tell You This.” NYC production duo K-Salaam & Beatnick take over DJ duty on the sampler for Ziggi’s forthcoming (and apparently still untitled) full-length release due this summer.  Get familiar with this artist–I’m sure you’ll be seeing his name more and more in the states and overseas very soon.  Download here.

DJ Select, Pure Vibes Vol 1 Holiday Mix: NYC/Dallas-based homie DJ Select just dropped a festive new mix in a holiday fashion—just in time for Easter weekend and the coming arrival of summer. Close your eyes and Select will transport you to the beach with this one, starting with the opening tune, “Holiday” from Collie Buddz.  Get the tracklist and download here.
